Broadcast Journalist, Kwabena Bobie Ansah, who is sympathetic to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged former President John Mahama to sack his spokesperson, Joyce Bawa Mogtari.

According to him, the former deputy Transport Minister did a very poor job as the Spokesperson for the NDC Election 2016 campaign, and continues to be unimpressive in her current position as the ex President’s mouthpiece.

Hon. Joyce Bawa Mogtari ran into problems with some leading members of the then ruling NDC party just about a month to the election when in an interview on Starr FM she revealed that she sometimes feared that then incubent President could lose the elections.

She again came under heavy flak from NDC members barely three weeks ago when she spoke to the same media house during which she said she wouldn’t be bothered should the rule for eight years.

“Well I don’t really mind if NPP rules for eight (8) years, it’s democracy and really not an issue. When they lost, you can imagine how they felt when we moved into Flagstaff House and I know the feeling… We’ve all been there and that is the beauty of our democracy.”

The NDC lost painfully to the NPP in the 7th December election, a contest that the NDC was so confident of winning due to the massive infrastructural development that was witnessed during ex President Mahama’s reign.

But the party has in the past few days been rocked by internal wrangling with many members accusing handlers of the ex President of contributing largely to the NDC’s defeat.

Speaking on the matter on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM Tuesday, Kwabena Bobie Ansah stated the ex President Mahama will do himself a lot of good he does away with her spokesperson.

“You see, I don’t have any problem with those JM has surrounded himself with…every body chooses to move with those he/she is comfortable with. However I wish that when it comes to political strategy he will deal more with the party heirarchy and other leading members, but with his private life he can leave it with such people. I like Joyce Moctar Bawa very much, she’s a nice person, very intelligent and an honourable woman, but to be frank she’s so light weight for the job of a good spokesperson for the ex President. I know that a lot of NDC members share my view about the woman, but they speak about her in private. She was a terrible spokesperson for the NDC Election 2016 Campaign, I know JM has learnt his lessons and will do the right thing.”
