The Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) have supported five veteran music legends with a total of GHC25,000.
The veteran artistes including A.B Crenstil, Jewel Ackah, Obuoba J.A. Adofo, C.K. Mann and Nana Kwame Ampadu were presented with GHC5,000 each.
According to MUSIGA president, Bice Osei Kuffuor, the support to the selected veteran musicians is part of the pomises made by MUSIGA at the 2017 Presidential Grand Ball held at the Banquet Hall, State House last December.
Obour said the veteran musicians are to be alloted an amount of GHC10,000 cedis each but would only receive a physical cash of GHC5,000 while the remaining GHC5,000 is invested in their names at First Banc, partner bank to MUSIGA in this regard.
Mr. Percy Ayamba, Chairman of Ageing Musicians Welfare Funds (AMWeF) told Joy FM that the initiative of the Endowment Fund, is expected to enable MUSIGA provide better for its aging or incapacitated members.
