The Electoral Commission has reversed its decision not to allow political party agents to observe the ongoing voter transfer exercise.

The Electoral Commission recently issued a directive to its Regional Directors, instructing them that agents of political parties should not be permitted to observe the ongoing transfer of votes.

The directive according to the EC, was made in response to several clashes that have transpired at its district offices, aiming to maintain order and security during the process.

But speaking during a press briefing earlier today, Deputy Chairperson of the Electoral Commission in charge of operations Samuel Tettey announced that EC has rescinded it decision in the spirit of transparency.

He however cautioned that the commission will not hesitate to revert to it earlier decision not allow party agent at the Centres if party agent forment trouble at the various centres.
