Independent Presidential Candidate and Leader of the Movement For Change, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen says he’s the competent leader Ghana needs to turn the country’s struggling economy around.
Alan Kyerematen, a corporate executive, a diplomat and an international public servant believes he has what it takes to lead the country to the path of economic recovery.
“Let me tell you, Ghanaians do not vote because of infrastructure, they talk about it, but it is not because of infrastructure that they vote. They don’t vote because of social services; they vote based on their pockets and the economy. Right now, we know that the economy is in crisis. You need a new leader who will turn around the economy and that is what Alan is going to do,” the former Minister for Trade and Industry said during his campaign tour on Tuesday June 11, 2024.
Mr Kyerematen in a shocking turn of events resigned from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on September 25.
His resignation came as a surprise to many as he emerged third in the party’s super delegates conference organised on August 26 for its presidential hopefuls.
Mr Kyerematen is confident of being elected as Ghana’s first Independent President come December 7 general elections.
